Once you’ve decided on your power needs, it’s time to start assembling the machine. Once it’s assembled, all you have to do is turn it on and start generating electricity!
To avoid severe harm from unintentional starting: Before beginning any inspection, repair, or cleaning procedures, switch the engine’s switch to the “OFF” position, wait for the engine to cool, and then disconnect the spark plug wire.
Always use gasoline and unleaded 2-cycle oil, don’t run the generator without a mixture. Running the engine with the wrong mixture or without mixing will result in irreparable engine damage. In my experience never filling the fuel tank to the top always allow some space for vibration overflow.
After each start-up, let the engine run without any load for about three minutes to warm up and stabilize, and then plug the AC electric cord of 120 V appliances in the generator.
Always check the fuel level and don’t allow the generator to completely out of fuel during the running of appliances.
Never put more than 800 watts of load on the generator, and if the AC circuit break turns it off, before operating again reduce the load, and reset the generator with the reset button.
Before shutting off the generator unplug the power cord to remove all electric load, and allow the generator to run for three minutes without load.
